Day I continued:
After freshening up - in a flat with a terrace facing the Sagrada Familia so close I can almost touch it. We let no time go to waste and went out for some exploring ! Wandering around we stumbled upon the gate to the city, where we found the Catedral and some cute dainty streets - well as a tourist how could I not stop and take a photo. The buildings reminded me very much of Romeo & Juliet, stone towers with arc shaped windows, I imagined a young man sneaking away with their loved one ( yes you can call me a hopeless romantic - a girl can dream ). After a few quick photos and a map break we continued our way to the market; fruits, veggies, chocolates, and meats - can I say I'm in heaven? A rush of excitement and joy when I saw all the food, I think if I could I would buy the whole market. 2Euros / kilo of strawberries that tasted UNREAL, european markets... i lurv you. Like my best friend says " I wish there was an app that could capture the taste & smell of what we experienced ! " Originally we agreed on having only a few strawberries & saving some for breakfast the next morning, but 5 mins later.... an empty wooden box was all that was left.
